무엇보다 캠퍼스가 상당히 넓습니다.
무려 205에이커에 달하는 캠퍼스를 누릴 수 있으며 캘리포니아에서 가장 아름다운 학교 1위를 기록한 자연친화적인 캠퍼스를 자랑합니다.

공연예술 시설, 아트 스튜디오, 아트 갤러리, 도서관, Open-air 극장,
수영장, 테니스 코트, 휘트니스센터, 농구장 등 다양한 시설을 제공합니다.
학교에서 할리우드, LA 국제공항까지는 2시간 30분 정도 거리예요.

아이딜 와이드 아카데미는 1986년 설립된 무종교학교로
9-12학년까지 다니는 미국고등학교로, 총 300명의 학생들이 다니고 있습니다.
그리 큰 규모의 학교가 아니지만 국제학생의 비율이 50%나 되는 인기있는 학교입니다.
국제학생의 비율이 높은 만큼 ESL수업도 수준별로 제공하며
한 반 학생 수는 12명, 교사와 학생 비율은 1:5 정도인데요,
선생님들도 Arts에 굉장한 열정을 갖고 계신 분들로,
학생들끼리, 선생님과의 친밀도가 굉장히 높습니다.
아이딜 와이드 아카데미는 미국내에서 비싼 모딩 스쿨의 8위를 기록할 정도의 높은 비용을 요구하는 학교이지만 한국학생들에게 일시적으로 특별 프로모션을 제공하고 있습니다.

<전공과정> 
아이딜 와이드의 전공프로그램은  음악, 연극, 영상, 디지털미디어, 창작문학, 춤, 비주얼 아트, 패션 등 분야의 과정을 운영하여 학생들이 원하는 전공을 선택하여 입학하게 됩니다.

별도 스포츠 프로그램을 제공하지 않지만 그만큼 많은 방과후 액티비티를 제공합니다.

넓은 캠퍼스내 기숙사 시설을 제공하며 모두 2인실로 되어있습니다.
각 기숙사 건물마다 30-80명의 학생들이 지내며,
3-5명의 Dorm Parents들이 상주합니다.
다른 미국고등학교에 비해 Dorm Parents가 많아
학생들이 안전하게 기숙사 생활할 수 있습니다.

Idyllwild Arts Academy 는 Arts 관련 전문 프로그램과 함께
대학진학준비 과정도 제공합니다.
SAT 평균 점수는 1690점이며, 대학진학률은 100%입니다.

아이딜 와일드의 미술 과정에 입학하기 위해서는 추천서, 학교성적, 토플(70)과 영어인터뷰, 포트폴리오 제출등 이 필수 입니다.
 
<포트폴리오 요구사항 >
portfolio
Applicants must submit a portfolio of a representative number of works (approximately 10-20 pieces) that embody their own work. All submitted work must be the candidate’s original work and not in the Anime or Manga style. No modified or altered pieces will be accepted. Images of art works should be submitted via email, uploaded to their online application, or as digital photo images of work in a bound folder.

We have an allotted space of 1GB reserved for your entire portfolio submission, so be mindful of the size in megabytes of your upload. The dimensions (height and width) of your images should be kept to a manageable size to facilitate easier viewing. Please do not submit original works.

The portfolio must include approximately seven drawings of objects from direct observation—that is , not from photographs; three of these seven must be figure drawings. The portfolio must also include five other works that investigate a specific theme; these can use any medium as long as the works suggest a consistent investigation of your idea. Each piece must include a description of the type of project and/or title, description of mediums, and size and date.

The following questions must be answered in short answer format:
1.Describe your beliefs about the role of the artist in today’s world.
2.What do you expect to gain from your experience at Idyllwild Arts?
3.Do you intend to pursue visual arts in college and/or as a career?
4.Describe some of your previous experience with visual arts classes, projects, summer programs and/or media you have an interest in.

<필요서류>
a) Submit a Student Essay – “Why do you want to attend Idyllwild Arts Academy? How will you benefit from and Idyllwild Arts education?” (250 words minimum) – Mandatory for Creative Writing, Dance, Music and Theatre Applicants. Not Mandatory for InterArts/Fashion Design, Film & Digital Media or Visual Arts.

b) Confidential Parent Questionnaire: This questionnaire must be completed by a parent or guardian.

c) Application Fee: A $60.00 non-refundable application fee is required of all U.S. applicants; a $100.00 non-refundable application fee is required of all International applicants. (There is an additional $50.00 charge for those who do not apply online.)

2) Artistic Reference: The Artistic Reference form should be completed by a teacher or private instructor who has recently taught the applicant in his/her chosen arts discipline. Download Arts Reference Form

3) Academic Reference: The Academic Reference form should be completed by a recent teacher of a major academic subject. Counselors and principals who have not taught the applicant are asked not to submit an academic reference but are welcome to submit additional letters of recommendation. 4) School Transcripts: Transcripts (record of grades) are required and should be requested directly from the student’s school(s). Unofficial copies may be submitted for initial review.

5) Audition or Portfolio Presentation: As a requirement for admission, students must audition, present a departmental essay or portfolio relevant to his/her art discipline. Please refer to the Audition and Portfolio Requirements.

6) Admission Interview: A personal interview is required of all international students. Interviews may be conducted on campus, through Skype or during an audition tour.
