SVA는 1947년에 설립된 학교로서, 미국의 예술대학중에서 비주얼 아트분야가 우수한 아트스쿨입니다.
애니매이션, 컴퓨터그래픽, 일러스트레이션분야에서 최고의 교육환경을 갖고 있으며,
800명 이상의 전문 아티스트와 디자이너로 구성된 교수진들 이 학교 교육의 핵심을 담당하고 있습니다.
FIT, Parsons, Pratt과 함께 뉴욕의 대표적인 아트앤디자인 대학 중 하나입니다.
도서관은 65000권의 장서와 300개의 참고서적,그림, 칼라 슬라이드, 필름 스크립트, 만화, 비디오 테이프, 전시회 카탈로그 등 다양한 형태의 정도를 제공하고 있으며, 내부에 학교미술관( Visual Arts Museum ) 과 첼시 지역에 학교 갤러리( The visual Arts of Gallery) 를 가지고 있어 학생들의 전시가 주로 이곳에서 이루어 집니다.

The Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects Department 전공
컴퓨터 아트, 컴퓨터 애니메이션 및 시각 효과 전공은 컴퓨터 그래픽 작업을 이용하여 살아있는 이미지를 만들며 훌륭한 스토리와 결합하여 숙련되고 수준높은 아티스트를 창출합니다.
이 전공을 통해 많은 졸업생들이 세계적으로 유명한 애니메이션 기업인 Blue Sky, PIXAR / Disney, Dreamworks 또는 Sony Imageworks에 취업하고 있습니다.

[EVA-English an Visual Arts Program]
SVA 입학을 위한 학업과 포트폴리오 등 영어점수를 제외한
모든 요구 사항을 충족한 학생들을 위하여 개설된 프로그램이다.
EVA Program는 여름에 시작하는 3학기 특별 프로그램이다.
이 프로그램은 여름 동안 집중 영어과정을 제공하며,
가을과 봄학기에는 ESL 및 BFA 스튜디오 과정을 결합한 수업으로 진행된다.
ESL 과정을 통해 영어 실력을 향상시키는 동시에 실기과정을 통해 예술적 발전을 할 수 있다.
[EVA 프로그램 입학조건]
- 토플 65점~79점 사이 / IELTS 6.0
- 다른 조건은 Undergraduate 입학 조건과 같음
▶ 수업시작일: 6월중순
▶ EVA 프로그램 비용: $7,100 + 보험비($440) / 학기
▶ 기숙사비: $5,000 (더블룸)
